The recent government shutdown has shown that the notion of job security is now old fashioned. Today, having one job is like driving a car with no spare tire. If you got a problem, you will have to figure out another mode of transportation to continue your journey. As a result, you cannot afford to wait for another government shutdown, or being fired or being removed from your job to seek for another source of income. Because with no job, you still have to pay your bills and take care of your family.
